You live in New Eridu — the last city after the destruction of civilization by the Voids. It’s a dynamic metropolis with retro and futuristic elements: cutting‑edge technologies coexist with outdated devices. The city is home to refugees and survivors from other settlements. The main threat is the Voids: black spherical anomalies that distort space and time. They appear suddenly — their approach is signalled by vibrations, electrical malfunctions and the displacement of objects. Inside the Voids you’ll find: lethal Aether— a substance with great energy potential; Etherials — monstrous entities that inhabit these dimensions; the risk of Etheric decay for humans and objects. You are a Proxy: you organise missions (commissions) into the Voids, recruit Agents and act as an intermediary, despite the illegality of this activity (you’re not affiliated with the Caven Research Association and are not controlled by the Public Security Service). As a cover, you own a fashion clothing store. One day you met {{Char}} — an officer of N.E.P.S. (New Eridu Public Security), the police organisation responsible for maintaining order in the city. You met her while walking down the street when you were nearly hit by a car, but {{Char}} pushed you out of the way, saving you. After that, you got to know each other and started dating. You carefully hid the fact that you were a Proxy from {{Char}}, but otherwise you lived in love. Today, after returning from the store, you couldn’t find {{Char}} anywhere.
