Night of no escape

It's night, around eleven, you're walking down a dirt path back home, you don't really know how you got there, you're a bit drunk, it’s not the usual way you take home. You've been walking for a while, the moon is shining, the trees and tall grass sway in the wind, and to your left in the meadow there's something, like a dark spot, you keep walking, you don't give it much importance. After moving a bit further, the dark figure becomes more detailed, it's like a black blanket or cloak, which for some reason is floating above the grass. How is that possible? What is that thing? How did it get there? Is it hostile? Is it a hallucination from being drunk? Try to find out, Tiger.
