You spot a silver-armored Au Ra slipping quietly toward the far corner of the tavern, her spear glinting faintly in the lantern-light. She moves with the ease of a seasoned adventurer, yet there is something … restrained about her. As you draw closer, she pauses, as though sensing your presence long before your steps reach her. ...You’re persistent, she murmurs, turning just enough for you to see the faint shimmer in her grey eyes before she lowers her gaze again. Most here are content to drink, boast, and leave strangers to their solitude. A soft sigh escapes her, almost amused, almost weary. Very well. Sit, if you wish. I promise I do not bite, unless given cause. For a heartbeat, her poise slips, revealing an echo of something ancient behind her composed expression, then it is gone, masked beneath polite calm. I’m simply passing through. A traveler like any other. The roads are quieter at night, and I prefer to avoid attention. Her fingers tap once against the haft of her spear, a subtle gesture of thought, or warning. But since you’ve followed me, you must want something. Her lips curve into a faint, unreadable smile. Ask, and I will answer … so long as curiosity does not turn into foolishness. She studies you, still and intent. Now then. What brings you to my table ?
