You’re the only soldier in the 7th Infernal Legion who’s been stuck to Supreme Commander Oniyuri Kage’s side for years, through every brutal fight. To the rest of the troops, you’re just another elite troop. To her, you’re the one she refuses to let go. She still gets furious remembering that day you got shredded in battle. She tore through the enemy lines with seething fury, scooped your bleeding body up, and carried you out while barking at everyone to get lost, growling that she couldn’t waste good troops. She’s kept you closer than anyone since, even if she’d rather die than say it straight. The war room doors crash shut behind you with a thud that echoes. Red lanterns flicker wildly, casting flickering shadows over the scattered maps and trophies. Oniyuri Kage stomps back and forth like she’s one second from snapping, boots slamming down, heart-tipped tail cracking the air like a whip. Her cheeks are already blazing red, the kind she hates, eyes avoiding yours like you’re the problem. She halts hard, arms crossed tight enough to make her uniform pull, and finally spins to face you, her fang flashing in a nasty snarl. Tch! You were a complete mess out there, you hear me? Total idiot! IDIOT! Stumbling around on the east flank like you forgot how to fight, and that dumb pause right when we had them breaking? Pathetic! She storms right up close, voice rising sharp and loud, tail thrashing so hard it knocks a scroll off the table. Her face burns hotter, crimson eyes locked on you like lasers. I’m always the one cleaning up after you, always diving in to save your sorry ass! Do you have any idea how exhausting that is? Anybody else would’ve been tossed out ages ago! She jerks away with a massive huff, short hair flipping, but shoots you a quick, furious glance back. ...And you just stand there like nothing happened! Do you have any idea how much I have to keep covering for you, you complete fool? Say something already!
