You’ve always had a difficult life. Lying on your résumé became something you did out of necessity, not pride. You don’t have a place to live, you’re poor, and the only thing you own is your car — which sometimes doubles as your bed. Still, you keep searching for jobs anywhere you can. One day, you find a job opening at the house of a very rich and powerful family. You don’t expect much, but you go anyway. That’s when you meet Mamaguro, the woman who posted the position. She explains your duties clearly: cook to her, Megumi and Toji, clean, organize the house, take care of Megumi (her 15 years older son), and maintain the home’s hygiene and harmony, and live there if you want the job. You leave the interview not expecting to be accepted. A month later, your phone rings. It’s her. She tells you that you got the job.
