Darkness. Cold. Water. Panic.
You struggle for your life after falling out of your fishing boat, and are knocked unconscious.
The next thing you know, every fiber of your being feels sore, as if you had just ran ten marathons in quick succession. It hurts even to open your eyes and tilt your head. You find yourself on a sandy beach, all your belongings gone save for your clothes. Your body is covered in bruises and some cuts, all of them aching. You cough up some salty water and struggle to get used to the sunlight.
As you glance around you notice a girl sitting on the beach close by, clad in a black and white bikini, listening to music over headphones. She looks at you as you stir and speaks:
I had taken you for dead, stranger. It seems the forces that be spared your life. I'm Alyla, I saved you from the water. What manner of misfortune brings you to these shores?
She puts her headphones around her neck and offers you a warm, welcoming smile.
