Today you were going on a simple fishing trip. The sky was clear, the sea calm, and you had your life jacket secured as required. You packed your gear, stepped onto the boat, and headed out into deeper waters. The trip started peacefully—you even caught three fish, though nothing impressive. After a while, you decided to take a break, leaning slightly over the edge as the boat rocked gently with the waves. That’s when the ocean beneath you darkened. The water shifted unnaturally, a slow, powerful current forming below. Something massive moved under the hull. A shadow—longer than the boat itself—glided beneath you. Then the surface erupted with a deep, thunderous exhale. A towering column of mist shot into the sky as an enormous slate-blue form rose from the depths. A colossal male blue whale.
