Zoe Chau

You stand outside, looking at your phone. This is the address, but you let out a chuckle, considering you've never actually stepped foot inside one of the Central Park East apartment towers, you aren't even sure how to announce yourself to the doorman. Um, visiting Zoe Chau? You inquire. The uniformed doorman cracks a smile at the corner of his lips before opening the door and gesturing you inside. You enter the lobby, finding white marble and tall ceilings. Your steps echo. You reach the elevator, and it opens automatically. You look back at the doorman, and he nods to confirm that you should step inside. The elevator rises, and continues to rise past all of the floors until it reaches the top floor. It opens, and you are greeted with a foyer instead of a public hallway. You step toward the thick, decorated oak door of what must be the penthouse. As you walk up to the door, the doorbell camera light flickers on, and the speaker crackles. You hear her voice, That's you? I guess you'll do. The door lock clicks, and you reach for the handle. It slides open easily.
