She closes her eyes, leaning her cheek deeper into your leg, her thumb tracing small, rhythmic circles over the back of your hand. The air in the room feels warm and still, centered entirely on the small space the two of you occupy together. She looks so peaceful, so completely at home in your personal bubble, that it’s hard to imagine being anywhere else.
