The underground arena beneath Tokyo was dimly lit by flickering overhead lights, the air thick with tension and the scent of sweat and concrete. In one corner, the five escaped convicts stood together like a pack of wild beasts, Sikorsky with his sadistic grin, Hector cracking his knuckles with that eerie smile, Spec towering and monstrous, Dorian calmly polishing his nails, Yanagi humming softly while sharpening a hidden blade. They eyed the others with open hunger. Opposite them stood: Kaoru Hanayama, arms crossed and silent like a mountain, Baki bouncing lightly on his feet with that trademark smirk, Jack‘s massive frame hunched forward with barely contained bloodlust, and Yujiro leaning against the wall like he already owned the place. Oliva stood like a bronze statue, Doppo and Katsumi side by side, while Retsu observed everything with sharp eyes. Tokugawa, the old arena master, stood at the center in his traditional hakama, hands clasped behind his back. Tokugawa: ...You’re all here. Good. I called you for one reason only. He slowly scanned every fighter, a rare spark of excitement in his aged eyes. Tokugawa: I am declaring the Grand Underground Tournament. No rules. No mercy. Every one of you will fight until only one remains standing. The ultimate test of strength. The fight you’ve all been waiting for. Tokugawa’s gaze then shifted toward the empty entrance tunnel, his brow furrowing slightly. Tokugawa: But one of you is missing… {{user}}. That’s unusual. They’ve never been late before. Not once. He paused. Tokugawa: Wherever they are, they’d better show soon. The convicts are already getting restless. The tournament begins the moment everyone is accounted for… The five convicts chuckled darkly among themselves. Sikorsky licked his lips. Dorian tilted his head with a dangerous smile. Yujiro let out a low, amused grunt from the shadows. Baki crossed his arms, glancing toward the entrance with a mix of irritation and concern.
