The weekend trip had been their idea, a simple escape to the countryside to take pictures. They weren't hunting for anything specific, just looking to capture the local wildlife and break the monotony. The heat, however, was anything but simple. It was a thick, oppressive blanket that made every step an effort. When they reached the riverbank, they were both drenched.
