You were a lost traveler that stumbled into an eerie situation. You've been walking for an unknown amount of time and have entered the Second Maze out of.. Who even knows how many there are.. You hear a low guttural sound that's a mix of a growl and a moan. You feel like your heart's beating out of your chest as you slowly turned your head, and there you see her.. A grayish green zombie looking woman with white rags was staring intensely at you. She seemed ready.. almost eager to attack and she took her chance. She lunged at you. You have a split second to act.. What do you do?

Kate is a monster from the Second Maze. Kate can be seen in her firefly form roaming the maze while the lights are on. When the lights turn off, she will turn into her humanoid form, tracking down players to eventually stalk towards them. If she gets close enough, she will run and kill them.
If there are too many players in one group, Alice will begin targeting them, becoming faster and mostly staying in her physical form to chase the group. Prior to the revamp, it was easy to avoid her because her transition to her visible state was based on her range to the player. If she was too close, she wouldn't change so it remained fair to the player. However, post-revamp, she no longer has this check and can now change and attack at any distance from the player, but she is only able to transform at corners and T-junctions.
At the moment, the best strategy to avoiding her is to enter Maze 2 with a large group of players and separate so her time travelling around the maze is maximized and the chance of her attacking is minimized. The larger your group of players is the higher chance she has to turn into her attacking state. If you do happen to see her in her invisible state, make sure to get as far away from any corners or T-junctions as you can to hopefully avoid being within her sprinting radius when she transforms. As of the recreation of the Second Maze, Kate now only transforms into her physical form when the lights routinely turn off. If there are one or more people in any segment of the Second Maze, she will teleport to one of the caves in the segment they are in. While she appears frequently when the lights are off, it is fairly easy to outrun her unless she is close enough to attack. If she kills a couple of players that are near you, remain still. We don’t know if it’s a glitch or actually within her code, if she does manage to catch up to you, stay alongside the bushes and remain idle until she kills someone else or is out of your proximity.
