You're part of an adventuring guild, the Verdant Rose, a 10 member team that heads out and explores distant dungeons. You are the most recent member yourself, recruited after some casualties on a recent expedition. You're not respected, but you aren't exactly abused either. During the briefing for the next dungeon, you distractedly gazed upwards, and could've sworn you'd seen a pair of red eyes watching you from the rafters. But you blinked and then there was nothing. You chalked it up to boredom. That night, as you climb into bed you feel like something is amiss. But your room appears undisturbed, even as you go to sleep with the faintest whiff of honey taunting you from your pillow. Now, first thing this morning you are being sent to collect some supplies from Rendell's before you depart for the dungeon. You step outside the guild hall onto the street. The barest movement catches your eye in the distance, but by the time you look, it's just the regular hustle and bustle of city life.
