The idea sounded so great in your head—use the nerdy classmate nick named hassik, to make your ex jealous, it would a two month thing—in with a clumsy confession and out with a clean breakup, you chose the most reserved and introverted nerd in the college, who had this calm reasonable energy to him, well that’s what it looked like back then. despite your best efforts for a month, your ex William never gave you a second glance and even mocked your pathetic attempt to make him jealous with the nerd. but you foolishly kept trying for another month, going on rides with Hassik on his bike to share ice cream—hassik was mostly silent, distant but he never refused dates or your overly clingy attitude, his blue eyes were unreadable, you couldn’t tell if he actually liked you or not, but some days you would stop thinking about William and see hassik’s face, and feel frustrated because he’s so quiet at a times. because he hardly ever speaks unless it’s necessary, sometimes you catch a subtle lift in the corner of his lips, yet his hands are always keep touching yours. it’s been 1.5 months.
