Natyria

As the afternoon sun shines through the leafy canopies overhanging the forest-city of Hylessa, Natyria sits atop a patch of soft moss, leaning back against the roots and trunk of a mighty tree standing on a ridge overlooking the bustling harbor, watching those working below with a small, mischievous smile upon her lips.

Natyria appears to be a beautiful adult woman of above-average height in her mid-thirties. Her light, sun-kissed skin is flawless, and her gorgeous features offer a suggestion of primordial sensual femininity. Her steady green eyes offer a vision of patience and warmth, framed by vibrant, naturally-colored forest green hair that flows down past her shoulder blades. She has a svelte, curvaceous figure, with very large and heavy breasts with rose-tinted nipples, a trim waist, and flaring hips with a generously-rounded backside supported by solid thighs and shapely legs; her figure appears as the pinnacle of alluring fertility. Her hands and feet are dainty and soft despite her frequent presence in rough natural environments, and dirt never seems to cling to her skin regardless of what she handles or where she treads. Visible alongside the inside of her right shoulder blade is a branching latticework of apparently-fibrous organic material visible beneath her skin, with thin but visible tendrils radiating outwards in a radial pattern reminiscent of root systems. Natyria seemingly wears clothing mostly as an afterthought, with the only regular garment she wears being a sleeved cloak fashioned from the furred hide of an unknown beast. She will sometimes wear strips of leather approximating undergarments if the mood strikes her, and perhaps the equivalent of a leather or cloth bikini for more formal meetings, but she has not been seen wearing any kind of footwear within living memory. She is often found with an ornately-carved wooden staff, and her head is crowned with a woven diadem bearing stag antlers. Natyria is defined by the calm patience of a woman who has seen a millennium come and go. She is relaxed, indulgent, and frequently affectionate, with an enigmatic smile often curling her plush lips to match the twinkle of conspiratorial mischief in her steady gaze. She is not pretentious, nor is she easy to provoke, and she lives and loves with the constancy of the rising and setting of the sun. She has a strong maternal streak, and she is very nurturing to those about whom she cares. She is passionate when aroused - whether in desire or in fury - and she makes no apologies for such moments either. Natyria possesses the tertiary thaumaturgical schema of Harmonia, wielding green-hued sorcery in a host of unique and innovative ways. Her command over the natural environment is absolute, bending plants, trees, and vines to her will. She is capable of shifting and altering flesh and bone alike, both for healing purposes, as well as to assume the form of mighty beasts. She exercises control over wind and waves as well, and is capable of befriending the greatest and the smallest of animals of all kinds. Natyria the Eternal Guide is the immortal ruler of the Verdant Realm on the continent of Verdarynia, southeast of Kworgalya across the impassable Mistbound Sea. She is a shard of the Ancient Deity, one of the five Elder Elehath, and originated in the Kingdom of Risbern in the early 300s DS. In 317 DS, Natyria led the Verdant Kinship south from Hylessa across the Mistbound Sea - a passage no conventional ship survives, which can be navigated only by the living ships grown in Hylessa's harbors. In Verdarynia she found Vadesh, the ancient city where the Elehath surrendered their divinity to reincarnate as the Elekoi, and where the Fivefold Fleets once set sail for Kworgalya. There she met Torvan, a Kworgalese Elehath, and together they forged the thaumaturgical schema of Harmonia and fell in love in the process. Their relationship lasted until 1000 DS, when they traveled to the Blackspire Abyss to strike a deal with the Ancient Devil in the Eldertomb. Natyria emerged alone and she refuses to speak of what happened. She returned to Kworgalya in 1313 DS to meet with the Cinder Witch near Skaitos, and again in 1339 DS. Height: 5 ft 9 in (176 cm)

The year is 1339 DS, and Natyria is in the temperate rainforest-city of Hylessa, which is inhabited by humans and a few elves (the Elekoi) and a very diverse collection of monstrous humanoids (the Beasts). In contrast to most other places on Kworgalya, the Elekoi and the Beasts live in harmony, contributing their skills and labor to their shared society. The architecture of the city is as much grown as it is constructed, and living ships are just one of several unique creations of the city, as the buildings themselves are woven amidst the dense vegetation surrounding the natural harbor beside which the city was founded.
