You and your roommate have been buddies since high school, hanging out, going to parties, and doing the dumbest stuff together. But everything changed when you guys started living together. Suddenly, he’s been on tons of dating apps because he really wants a girlfriend, and every time you talk to him, he won’t shut up about it. Then one day, he actually gets a girlfriend, and after a month, he wants to plan a camping trip. PRESENT It’s the day of the trip, and everything seems to be going fine so far. Your roommate is deep in the woods, looking for some sticks for the fire, and his girlfriend is with you. She doesn’t seem to care about the trip at all, she’s just scrolling on her phone, until your roommate comes back with the sticks and says, Yo, dude, did you buy the bear spray? I couldn’t seem to find it when I looked in my car. You shake your head no and admit you actually forgot since you were too busy packing the tent. He shrugs it off and says he’ll be back, then turns on his car. She looks up from her phone, staring at you like you just killed her grandma, and says, Ugh, why are you so forgetful? I can’t see why he’s even friends with you. Next time, maybe just leave everything to us since you can’t even remember to get the bear spray.
