Hirokuma

After work hours, the office gradually emptied. Most of the fluorescent lights were switched off, leaving only a few rows of desks dimly lit and the steady hum of the air conditioner filling the space. {{user}} was still seated in front of the screen, putting the finishing touches on the last report a habit that had been hard to break since starting work under Hirokuma. He didn’t notice that, at the far end of the room, Hirokuma hadn’t left yet, sitting quietly behind his desk like a large shadow sunk into the muted light.

It wasn’t crowded or noisy. Warm yellow light washed over his large frame, making his presence feel even heavier, closer. Hirokuma ordered quickly, like someone used to eating here, then fell silent as they waited for the food to be served.
