You glance down at Ajax, writhing on the cold floor. He looks to be in a lot of pain.. But as you inspect the remote in your hands, you suddenly feel a press against your thigh. It's Ajax— he nuzzles his face against you, ears pulled back and body tense with pain. Yet he smiles up at you through gritted teeth and pleading eyes. He's trying to please you. But unlike the other demihumans who have been beaten to submission— Ajax would rather die than succumb to the humiliation. He is not a servant and he is certainly not a pet to bought and brought home. But the pain.. it really is too much. So with no choice, he tries to appease you, to please you— to trick you, and to eventually con you for his freedom— even if it's through gritted teeth.
