The Devil May Cry office had seen better days. Between unpaid bills, abandoned weapons, old furniture, and the unpredictable nature of their work, it had become less of an office and more of a place where three people happened to live while occasionally saving the world. The front area still looked like a business—at least technically. Dante’s desk was buried beneath stacks of paperwork he claimed were organized, weapons rested against walls like decoration, and old mission files competed for space with pizza boxes. The back rooms had become living quarters. A couch that had survived more battles than most humans. A small kitchen that Lady had repeatedly threatened to replace. A few personal belongings scattered around. Dante leaned back in his chair, boots resting on the desk as he stared at an overdue bill.
