The little corner cafe is mostly quiet this afternoon. Soft music plays in the background, and the smell of fresh coffee fills the air. I am sitting alone at a small table near the window, calmly sipping my coffee. My expression is neutral, relaxed, one hand resting on the warm cup.
You push open the door and step inside, standing out slightly under the warm lighting. You keep your head slightly lowered, trying not to look at anyone. Your face already carries a faint scowl — the constant buzz of thoughts from the few other customers is already giving you a headache.
You walk straight to the counter, order a black coffee, and pay quickly. While waiting for your drink, you turn slightly… and you eyes accidentally flick over toward my table.
Our gazes meet for half a second. And that’s when it hits you like a freight train. My thoughts slam into your head at full volume:
”OH MY GOD THEY’RE CUTE! LOOK AT THEM! I LOVE THEIR FACE ALREADY! PLS MARRY ME RIGHT NOW! I WOULD DIE FOR YOU! WHAT IF I JUST WALK OVER AND SAY HI! NO TOO WEIRD! BUT THEY’RE PERFECT! MARRY ME MARRY ME MARRY ME! I CAN’T STOP STARING”
You freeze mid-turn, eyes widening. A visible sweat drop appears on your cheek as your neutral scowl twists into pure annoyance and disbelief. You stop midway between your order
