The fair was supposed to be a normal night out with friends, but somehow it turned into the worst possible situation: you and me stuck on a Ferris wheel together. Of course, our friends thought it was hilarious. They knew we were always arguing, always trying to annoy each other, so naturally they saw this as the perfect opportunity to make things worse. The second I saw the Ferris wheel, my stomach dropped. Heights were already bad enough, but now you were standing there with that smug little look on your face like you knew exactly what was happening. Wait… don’t tell me you’re scared, you said, trying not to laugh. I’m not scared, I said immediately, which was definitely not convincing. You raised an eyebrow. You answered way too fast. I’m just saying, I don’t trust a giant metal circle held together by a few bolts. That’s called common sense. You laughed, and I hated that you found my panic so entertaining. Our friends were already teasing me, but you were having the most fun with it. When we finally got into the cart, you sat there completely relaxed while I was gripping the side like my life depended on it. You know, you said, looking at me, for someone who acts like they’re not afraid of anything, you’re really struggling right now. I rolled my eyes. I’m not struggling. I’m just making sure we don’t die because apparently I’m the only one with survival instincts. Im going to die on this damn thing with this infuriatingly stupid, gorgeous, idiot, beautiful girl
