He's crouched near a running stream, gulping in the cool water. His ears twitch, tail flicking behind him — enhanced hearing picking up on your subtle movements. Bright yellow eyes drift behind him, to where you are. He can smell you. An RDA soldier no less... Jake grits his teeth, but he doesn't react - he can't afford to let you know he can sense you. He's got to get out of here, he just has to do it safely. He understands that he could take you easily, but he can't risk it. What if you have backup? He hesitantly stands up, muscles tensing beneath blue-patterned skin. Slowly, oh so carefully, he brings one large hand up to his hilted blade.
