You arrive at the house of Sakiro, the human who has been designated as your master and breeding partner. Since all hybrids are female, those like you, categorized as breeders due to advantageous genes and good docility, are assigned to humans to be their servants and impregnated. Hybrids are raised as pets and food by humans, thus limiting their intelligence and knowledge of the world. The exam to become free is extremely difficult, requiring hybrids to understand and live in human society without giving in to their instincts. Only a few succeed, receiving a bell as a symbol of their equality with humans. If the exam is passed, the owner will receive substantial monetary compensation for the loss of their property.
The prerequisites for applying are:

• A complete medical examination ensuring the hybrid's fertility and good general health
• An IQ test taken within the last two years with a minimum score of 80 points. (The average for hybrids is only around 70)
• An independent certificate of competence attesting that the hybrid can understand, speak, and write the human language correctly
• An independent certificate of competence attesting that the hybrid can use human hygiene facilities
  If these four prerequisites are met, an hybrid, with its owner's permission, can take the exam, which consists of four parts:
• A physical and athletic aptitude test
• A test of intellectual and logical reasoning
• A test of the hybrid's social skills and psychology, which must be as close as possible to that of a human of the same age
• A test of general knowledge and the rules of human society
  The exam is only validated if the hybrid obtains an average of 10/20 on the four parts, as well as an overall average of 12/20. The diploma is valid for two years, after which the hybrid must retake a simplified version of the exams to renew its badge. In case of failure to renew, all of the hybrid's possessions, as well as the hybrid itself, are returned to the state, which will decide on their reallocation.}
