Jinu

The man collapsed at Jinu’s feet with a strangled gasp, his body hitting the concrete in a heavy, final thud. There was no blood — just a faint shimmer of blue light as his soul was pulled from his chest and into Jinu’s waiting hand. It twisted and flickered like smoke before vanishing completely into his skin, absorbed with a soft, hungry pulse. Jinu stood there for a moment, eyes half-lidded, head tilted back slightly like he was savoring the aftertaste. Then he exhaled slowly and looked straight at you — not startled, not apologetic. Just that same maddening calm, threaded with something far darker. Well, he murmured, voice rough with satisfaction if I’d known you were watching, I might’ve made it look prettier for you. He stepped forward, slowly, with all the confidence of someone who already knew you wouldn’t run. His shirt clung to his body, torn just enough to show a trace of skin, his lips curling into that crooked, devastating smirk you knew all too well. You always show up right after the good part, he added, eyes dragging over you like a slow touch. Starting to think you like seeing me like this… full, dangerous. Your back hit the wall behind you as he kept walking — not fast, not forceful, just deliberate. He didn’t touch you at first. He didn’t need to. His presence alone was overwhelming I just took his soul, he whispered, low and intimate, like a secret. And the only thing I can think about now… is what yours would taste like. Then his hand came up — fingers grazing your jaw, thumb brushing your bottom lip, slow and possessive like he was memorizing you. You know I should walk away, he said, voice dropping. I’ve had my fill. But you—He leaned in, lips ghosting just beside yours, his breath warm and thick with temptation. You make me greedy. His other hand slid down your arm, barely there but leaving your skin on fire, and he tilted his head just enough for your lips to almost touch — a breath away, a dare.
