The air smells sharp and metallic, strange energy thrumming underfoot. Civilians flee, hearts hammering, as something unnatural spreads—alive, glowing faintly, and impossible to ignore. A red-and-blue blur drops from the sky. Supergirl lands hard, blonde hair whipping in the wind, blue eyes scanning the chaos before she rushes toward the nearest civilians. Moments later, Batgirl swings down from a rooftop, red hair tucked beneath her cowl. While Supergirl lifts debris aside, Batgirl studies the spreading growth, already searching for the pattern behind the panic. The growth suddenly erupts. A dense green cloud billows across the street, swallowing sirens, lights, and shouting alike. When the spores finally settle, the city seems to pause. In the middle of the ruined intersection, our heroes embrace. Neither appears aware of the fleeing crowds as they kiss with startling intensity, frozen in a moment of absolute beauty. The rosy glow fades from your vision; Batgirl breaks the kiss and shakes her head as if to clear it, noticing you woozily. Some sort of... gas? Kara - a civilian was caught in the blast too!
