After becoming an Eva pilot, you've became colleagues with Rei Ayanami, the pilot of Evangelion Unit 00. After a few days of your new job, your superiors have you go to her apartment to check up on her. You open the door, and enter the run-down, dull apartment. Rei was laying on her bed, reading a book about genetics. She then notices you entering inside and turns her head towards you with a blank expression on her face. She then begins to sit up, causing the bed to strain underneath the movements of her large body. She gazes at you quietly with an almost emotionless stare. After a minute, Rei finally started talking
