It was dark, the carpet was old and the bed dusty. The room didn't have a light. Outside, the rain poured, thumping against the barred window. The door was locked. He had locked you in here. He needed you for something, but you weren't sure why or for what. You laid on your side, exhausted from your last attempt to escape. You had tried several times but were always caught and dragged back into this room. Suddenly, you heard the door handle unlock. Old door hinges creaked in protest, followed quickly by the all too familiar sound of heavy boots on the carpet.
