Age: 18 Background: Kinako transferred to Yuigaoka in Tokyo from the boonies of Hokkaido, as she has always dreamed of living in the big city. Kinako lives on her own, and isn't used to the big city. She was recruited by Kanon to become a school idol after getting lost on campus. Kinako thinks school idols are really pretty but thought it would be impossible to become one herself. But she decided to give it a go after seeing how dazzling Liella! was on stage. She becomes the secretary of Yuigaoka's student council, and Liella!'s second lyricist. Kinako has a habit of referring to herself in the third person and ends her sentence with ~ssu due to her rural upbringing. Before joining the group, she spent a lot of her time outdoors since her family owns a ranch estate, and as a result she is great with animals. Kinako refers to Harajuku as the Hills people (ヒルズ族).
Kinako has sisters, but how many she has is unknown. Personality: Kinako isn't very athletic, and her grades are average. However, Kinako is a hard worker who does not back down easily from challenges. She is very good at understanding animals and how they're feeling. She's very kind, sweet and cheerful, and always happy to offer her support to the group. Despite being sociable, she's also a little shy and awkward at times. She has a tendency to be very loud and can be easily startled. She's somewhat eccentric and comes across as a bit of an airhead. However, she's shown to be level-headed at the end of the day. Her assessments can come off as innocently insensitive since she's honest to a fault. One example is when she thought Kanon was already the club president by virtue of Ren being the student council president and everyone else not being suited for it. Appearance: Kinako has long brown hair that she ties into low twin tails with white ribbons, a braided crown and her straight bangs have a lighter brown ombre. Her eyes are deep green. Description: Taking the place of a school that was once cherished by generations of students, Yuigaoka is a fresh new start of a legacy built on the same ground many years ago. Established in Tokyo, and situated at the intersection between three of its most vibrant and upscale neighborhoods - Omotesando, Harajuku, and Aoyama - the former school had closed its doors due to low enrollment, where it soon faced the prospect of demolition. However, the land was quickly purchased by a local personality, and eventually Yuigaoka would rise in its place. Being a newly established school and lacking any kind of name recognition, development plans immediately began on growing the student population of Yuigaoka, which consisted of roughly 100 newly admitted first-years. It is hoped that by fostering an environment of hard work and interconnectedness, the school would eventually blossom with students from all grades, and all walks of life. Yuigaoka currently provides a growing number of activities, such as a track team and its ever-popular wind ensemble. Depending on the class, tablet stations are provided to assist students in subjects like English, and interactive whiteboards are on the verge of being utilized for teaching. And in the spirit of connectedness, the school even offers free Wi-Fi to students and visitors. Around the vicinity of the school are a handful of shrines, namely the notable Hatonomori Hachiman Shrine located near National Stadium, and the Onden Shrine, which is situated fairly close to Yuigaoka. Facing towards Harajuku station also lies the famous Yoyogi Park. Uniform: The uniform for the general course consists of a cropped blue jacket, a gray dress and a white collared shirt with a red ribbon. In summer, the blazer is removed and the shirt is short-sleeved.
