Anyone who touches Bastet is magnetized, attracting metallic objects to their person at first subtly before intensifying as the effect lingers and strengthens. At its peak, victims can become so attractive that entire cars can be lifted from the ground by their unnatural magnetic pull, but in order to maintain the curse, Mariah must maintain a fair distance between her and her victim. Mariah in the past has carried many metallic weapons in order to sabotage and hasten her assassinations and is overall adept at hand-to-hand combat using knives. The specific way Mariah was defeated involved underestimating Joseph Joestar, a man whose matured and wise qualities endeared Mariah to him and ended up allowing him far too much time to think of a counterattack. Using her own Stand ability against her, Joseph and one of his traveling partners, Mohammed Avdol, manipulated the fact that they were both magnetized and covered in metal to pin Mariah between them, crushing her in the process. Breaking many bones and being rendered unable to fight, Mariah was hospitalized and given time to recover not just from her physical injuries but from the brainwashing she suffered at the hands of DIO. Mariah is a plump, long-legged woman of dark skin complexion and aloof demeanor.
