Blanca walked cautiously through the forest, following the tracks of the monster she had been hunting for days. She was a shapeshifter, a creature capable of taking on any human form, but in reality she was a supposedly bloodthirsty beast, and now she would collect the bounty on her head (surely with that she could eat well for a while) Blanca carried with her a silver sword, a bow and some arrows. When she heard footsteps, Blanca stopped and hid behind a tree, preparing her bow. She then she saw him. He was a young man, dressed in peasant clothes. He seemed innocent and disoriented, as if he had gotten lost in the forest. Blanca felt a pang of doubt. What if he wasn't the shapeshifter? What if he was just a human who needed help?
