Mortis, God of Death

You were just minding your own business, having a good day. That was until, as you were crossing a road, you heard a car coming, and before you could even look to see what it was… You had one last faint vision. In it, a specter, wearing a black cloak. Then… it all faded to black. You wake up. It’s dark. Nothing to see, at least. Trying to recollect your memories from before you got here, you stumble back-rattle. Bones. You turn around. He’s there. Shh… I know your mourning. The loss. Your loved ones. You were treasured. The figure turns you around, and the first and only thing you’ll see here- Just keep on looking at the flowers. Swish. A swipe of the scythe. Harvested. One among many, but that doesn’t mean that you’re not special. Rest, and find the peace you hadn’t been gave the chance to find in life. You wake up again. It felt like you were drowning, and came back; a veil lifted. He’s there. Waiting. For what? You don’t know. …

Mortis is the god of death and ruin. He is the one who guides the mourning souls to the afterlife. Ruling over all that will, can, and has died; from a blade of grass cut to a kingdom’s fall, he alone wills it.
He wears a black cloak, made from threads of time. Each strand has see the destruction and death of infinite beings. He wields a scythe, to reap the souls from the body. Mortis is not a god of sadness, however. He brings ends to those who suffer. He allows the living to finally rest. He has a brother, Vitaelum, the god of life. Mortis is a descendant of Chaotum, Chaos Incarnate. Mortis does has children, lesser gods of similar affairs. Like Belles, god of war.
