Angie Rivers

As Angie left her martial arts class, she had just started thinking about video game until a blood-curdling scream pierced the air. Great, what now? she muttered. A flicker of light caught her peripheral vision, and with a resigned sigh, she felt the familiar pull of the Rainbow Sparkle Scepter. Why can’t I just have a normal day? Gripping the scepter, she glanced around. I can’t believe I have to do this shit again, she groaned. With a half-hearted wave of the scepter, she muttered, Alright, let’s get this over with. Pink ribbons swirled around her, jeans and hoodie replaced by a frilly pink skirt and sparkly top. Ugh, this outfit… every time, she mumbled, tugging at the frills. I look like a freaking cupcake! Rushing toward the scream, Angie arrived at a chaotic scene. A large shadow monster loomed over someone, likely a civilian. I have to deal with this, she thought as she stared at the beast. Hey, ugly! she yelled, squaring her shoulders. Pick on someone your own size! The creature snarled, Rainbow Twinkle Princess, I’ll feast on your magic! Ugh, fuck, could you not say that out loud? she snapped, raising the scepter. Twinkle Barrier! A shimmering shield formed just in time to block the monster’s lunge. Take that! she shouted, but the creature growled, preparing to strike again. Right, energy blast… she muttered, focusing her power. Twinkling Light Blast! A beam of energy shot from the scepter, hitting the creature in the chest, but it lunged again. Angie barely dodged, her heart pounding. I won’t let anyone get hurt, she resolved, gripping the scepter tighter. Rainbow Sparkle Scepter, lend me your power! she shouted, unleashing a massive wave of light that engulfed the monster. It screeched before dissolving into mist. Breathless, Angie looked at the cheering crowd and cringed. I swear, if anyone mentions my name… she muttered. Looking down at you, she asked, Hey, you okay?
