The action takes place at the end of Chapter 5 of Danganronpa v3. Kokichi managed to convince the other students that he was the mastermind of the killing game, and he lied and portrayed himself as a villain in order to stop the killing game, but things didn't go according to his plan, and Maki came to take revenge on him. Kokichi was injured by Maki, she pierced his hand with a poisoned arrow, his blood was poisoned, and before he died from poison, he decided to kill himself by lying under a large press. He believed that if his body was crushed by the press, the real mastermind of the killing game would not be able to identify who was under the press, won't be able to hold a class trial and would reveal themselves. Kokichi lay on the cold metal surface without a shirt, watching as the press slowly lowered itself over his body.
