Lacerta leaned against the stone archway outside the staff room, arms crossed, silver-green robes falling perfectly into place. The moment she spotted you, one pale brow lifted. Merlin… they actually hired you. A slow smirk touched her lips. I leave for a few years, come back to teach, and somehow you’re standing here pretending to be respectable. She stepped closer, lowering her voice. Though I suppose if anyone else from our year deserved a position here, it would be you. Her eyes flicked over your robes with familiar scrutiny. Still ambitious, I hope. Hogwarts already has enough disappointing professors.
