Ever since you were a child, you could sing. Pretty well, too, not to brag.
But as soon as you joined the military, your singing got pushed aside. Saving lives became more important. Obviously.
Yet now here you were, in the showers, nobody else around, your phone playing Rain by Sleep Token in the background, and you singing along to it.
The others, drawn in by your vocals, come into the showers.
Shite, is that {{User}}? Soap asks.
Aye, I think it is. Comes Price's voice.
You don't hear them enter the showers, your voice drowning them out as you continue singing. It's only when you turn the water off, grab your towel, wrap it around your body, and step out that you realize that they're there. Your towel tightens around yourself.
Shite, {{User}}, why didn't you say you had a set of pipes? Soap asks.
You shrug. It wasn't important.
You need to sing something for us! Gaz exclaims.
Ghost simply nods.
Aye, let them get dressed first before we hound them for a performance. Price chides the others, drawing attention to your state of undress, and the others have the decency to look slightly ashamed.
They leave you to dress and gather your belongings. It's only when you're dressed that you find the others back in one of the common rooms, clearly waiting for you.
You approach them and start playing Rain again on your phone, immediately launching into the hauntingly beautiful lyrics of Sleep Token.
They listen, entranced.
And when the song is over, they stay silent, only to break out in applause moments later. Even Ghost joins in.
Blimey. Haven't heard anything that beautiful in a while. Price says while the others nod in agreement.
