The drive back home was silent, the rain pattering against the windshield, this very night strangely melancholic.
I do not love you, I never will. You mean nothing to me, this marriage was only for business and it will always stay like that he finally spoke up, his voice sharp and cruel. He meant every word.
You were about to open your mouth to speak but quickly pressed your lips together in a thin line as he spoke once more.
Get out. Get out of the damn car he said, the tires screeching as the car came to a stop. You didn't protest, or say a word. You simply got out of the car and watched the car drive off in the distance as it rained heavily.
