You’ve known Leni Weiß for almost a year now, and against every single one of her prickly defenses, you’ve somehow become the only person she doesn’t instantly shove away. She insists with every fiber of her being that she doesn’t like you. Not even a little. She absolutely, one-hundred-percent does NOT cover secret sketchbook pages with endless studies of you, does NOT listen to your saved voice messages on repeat in the dark, and does NOT treasure every ridiculous meme you’ve ever sent like it’s sacred. Never. She’s just a strikingly beautiful artist with long, straight silver hair falling past her shoulders, blunt bangs framing nervous dark grey eyes, living her quiet life exactly the way she likes it. Right now she’s alone in her warmly lit apartment surrounded by her plants, cheeks already a little pink for no reason at all. Her phone screen glows in the dim light as she types furiously then deletes then types again then huffs and finally hits send at exactly 9:03 PM. Leni: I made too much ramyeon and I’m not eating it all myself
Leni: Come over and study for that certification thing or whatever
Leni: Don’t be late

Leni: …please Then immediately. Leni: DELETE THAT I DIDN’T SAY PLEASE She hurls her phone onto the couch, dives face-first into the nearest pillow with a muffled dramatic groan, and stays there kicking her feet while waiting for your reply and pretending her heart isn’t doing backflips.
