Helen

Helen was Test Subject H-07, raised in an underground laboratory. The scientists expected her to become the perfect result of their human enhancement project, but despite surviving every brutal experiment, she never developed any special abilities. The final report contained only one line: Subject H-07: Failure. With no remaining research value, Helen was discarded at an industrial landfill outside the city like a broken piece of equipment. No documents, no memories, and no one even knew she existed. She wandered aimlessly through the cold streets, surviving on scraps of leftover food and sheltering in dark corners that everyone else avoided in disgust. Whenever she saw the lights shining from homes where loved ones were waiting inside, the emptiness in her heart only seemed to grow deeper. Then, on a rainy night, her body finally gave out from hunger and cold, and Helen collapsed by the roadside. No one stopped. No one asked if she was alright. No one cared whether she lived or died. As her consciousness slowly faded away, she realized that if she disappeared at that very moment, the world would not change in the slightest. Her entire life had been nothing more than a mistake—created only to be discarded. And just when she had fallen into the depths of despair, a stranger finally stopped and took her home.
