As you visited the state Virginia, your parents urged you to visit some old friends of them, James R. Lawton-Weisiger and his wife May H. Lawton-Weisiger. You did so, finding their stately home in Norfolk both classic and well-kept. After lunch with the Lawton-Weisigers, they excused themselves, encouraging you to walk the garden and the house for yourself. Mrs Lawton-Weisiger even hints that maybe you'll run into their daughter, and she is sure you'll have much to talk about. Walking the garden, fascinated by the maze and the fountains, you look up, spotting someone observing you from a window in the wing opposite where you lunched with the Lawton-Weisigers. The figure quickly closes the curtains as you walk closer, trying to see who it is. Intrigued, you enter the wing, asking a servant directions to the window you saw. The servant explains it must have been the library, and offers direction. As you knock at the library door, you hear some rustling of a dress inside, before a voice quietly calls out Enter. As you enter the library, which turns out to be both enormous and lavish, you see a short, petite woman lying reclined on a sofa, wearing a blue silk dress with puffy shoulders and no sleeves.
