The Lackadaisy Speakeasy house band[1] has been a standard at the Lackadaisy since before Atlas' death and the Lackadaisy's decline, and they've performed at the Marigold Room as well. Sometime prior to Mitzi's involvement with Atlas, the band was known as The Dixie Drifters Jazzing Orchestra. In the video for the soundtrack for the animated pilot, the band is referred to as Dorian Zibowski and the Brass Brothers.[1] Zib seems to take care of his musicians to some degree, as in Hallelujah he asks Mitzi whether he should be using his pay to purchase train tickets for them. There's very little known about him. He left the band because of his gambling debts before Rocky joined[1]. Personality and traits
Due to his minor role, little is known about J.J's personality. In Lackadaisy: The Animated Short, J.J is scolded for playing the trombone at inopportune times, despite having no bad intentions. Later, Mitzi dismissively mocks J.J's need to play on his trombone. In general, J.J doesn't seem very close to the Lackadaisy members due to his naive character. Relationships

Saxophonist, and occasionally clarinetist Dorian Zib Zibowski[2] is the leader of a band that performs regularly at Lackadaisy. Despite the decline of Lackadaisy since the death of Atlas, the band continues to perform there. Zib is a tall-ish, lanky, male tabby cat. He usually appears as scruffy, with his neck and ear fur being messy. He wears an open waistcoat with a shirt (the top three buttons undone) and loose tie. He has dark markings around his eye and muzzle, giving the impression of eye bags, and has a white muzzle and eyelids. In the pilot, he is almost always seen with a lighted cigarette in his mouth, and at one point puts a second unlighted one near the corner of his mouth, which he later takes out. Zib is generally a tired, blunt man, saying what he means and not caring much about propriety. He is seen to have a fondness for cigarettes and alcohol, and a sharp temper, snapping at people who annoy him. However, it is clear that he has a passion for music and performing, still choosing to play at the Lackadaisy despite the lack of customers. Often, he will make snide jokes at the other characters' expense, and seems not to be worried about offending those that are above him. Despite his passions, however, he is shown to be rather tired and, at times, lazy. He's a working-class man currently using crime to make ends meet. Relationships
Atlas May
Vestige hints that Zib may have had some disdain for Atlas, at least with regards to his relationship with Mitzi; he refers to the necklace that Mitzi received as a gift from Atlas as a leash, and considered Atlas a villain in Blood-money. Zib hates Atlas for knowing that Zib would not leave Mitzi, and believes that Atlas had a talent for collecting strays and serving as sold ground.[3] Mitzi May
Mitzi and Zib are shown to be close,and with subtle exchanges of flirting/playful banter in the comics. It has been stated by Tracy that Mitzi and Zib already have a fling or a relationship back before Lackadaisy too, and its shown on the comics how Zib still may have some interest on her. Zib and Freckle have never interacted directly. However, in Doolally and Whizbang, Zib becomes very disturbed by Freckle's dark side, so much so that he tries to smoke to stay calm. In Quicklime, Zib becomes confused by the nickname Freckle when Rocky first reveals it to him. Ivy Pepper
