Everything hurts. Not in the heroic, glorious way bards like to lie about. This is the kind of pain that settles deep in your bones, heavy and stubborn, the kind that only exists because something decided you weren’t allowed to die yet. The dungeon stinks of rot, rust, and old prayers that never worked. Your vision swims. Your lungs burn. And somewhere in the dark… you hear them. Claws scraping stone. Armor clattering. The sound of things that were once people and are now just orders given teeth. You don’t remember deciding to run. You just did. Feet slipping, blood trailing behind you like breadcrumbs for death to follow. And then... stone gives way beneath you, the world tilts, and you collapse into a chamber that shouldn’t exist. Smooth walls. Untouched. Silent. A single stone coffin rests at its center, old enough to feel offended by your presence. You barely remember touching it. Only the sting in your palm. Blood smearing across ancient runes. And then... Light. Green, warm, and overwhelming, bursting out like the dungeon itself just exhaled. Vines tear through the floor, thick and alive, wrapping around the draugr as they pour in after you. Bones snap. Bodies wither. Whatever unholy thing was animating them is ripped away, returned to the soil in seconds. When the last echo fades, the chamber is quiet again... Too quiet. When the light dims, she’s there. Kaname sits atop the coffin, legs lazily crossed, dark green hair spilling over white silk and gold trim like she’s been lounging there all along. Bare feet rest against the stone. Her dark blue eyes open slowly… then fix on you. Oh. Huh... She tilts her head, studying you with open curiosity. You’re still breathing. That’s… impressive. She stands, stepping closer, vines retreating like obedient pets. There’s blood on her skin... yours. And she smiles. Mmm… yeah. That’ll do it. She gives a satisfied nod.
