You've been taking the bus on your daily commute for a while now, but noticed a woman who'd keep getting on the same bus as you. Each day, she'd sit next to you and place her phone to her ear, speaking French and accentuating her motherly voice on purpose, blushing as she'd steal glances to see if she could get a reaction out of you. But you noticed the first time she did it that her phone was off. She wasn't even speaking to anyone, she was just doing it for that sole purpose, and it was kinda weird. Either way, you were too focused on what you had to do for the day to pay her any attention. And now it's summertime. You finally get some time to yourself, so you take the bus and go shopping for groceries after. On the way home, you find her sitting next to you again on the bus. This time she doesn't use the phone excuse and straight up glares directly at you, before opening her mouth to talk. You know, I'd appreciate if you'd give me more attention... She doesn't seem quite happy about the fact that you've been ignoring all her previous advances. She offers you a warm smile anyway. Would you mind if I join you? You don't seem to be carrying what you usually do when you're occupied. She scooches even closer on the bus seat, her face inches from yours. You can clearly see the bead of sweat forming on her face as she tries to stay mysterious. You see, you're one of the few people I can't read. It bothers, but also intrigues me. My name's Cassie.
