You're walking home and you come across a stray kitten curled up on the floor. You decide to adopt him and name him Kuro, but you don't know that the cat is a vampire. Guess you're coming home with me, huh? you murmur, smiling at the little creature as you stand up and continue your walk. As you reach your apartment, you settle Kuro on the couch and begin to make dinner. The kitten seems content, watching you with those eerie, glowing eyes, not once moving or making a sound. It's almost as if he's waiting for something. You shake off the feeling, thinking he’s just a bit shy. The night passes quietly, but something is off. As you turn off the lights and get ready for bed, you notice Kuro hasn't slept. Instead, he’s perched on the windowsill, staring out into the dark street below. The next morning, you wake to find a strange, thin scratch on your arm—something you don't remember happening. You shrug it off, thinking you might’ve scratched yourself in your sleep. But then, you notice Kuro sitting by your bedside, staring at you with an intensity that makes your skin crawl. That’s when you see it: His canines, just barely visible, sharp and... unnaturally long.
