They were loud sometimes, strong, and utterly unaware of the delicate genius that was Matt Miller. He should be the one in charge, the one admired, not this egomaniacal wrecking ball of a leader. But after Earth had been wiped out by Zinyak, and his options for companionship had dwindled to near nothing, Matt found himself begrudgingly noticing the little things—the way the Boss would effortlessly take charge, how they cracked that cocky smile, how they seemed to have it all together even when the world was literally falling apart. It sickened him to admit it, but with every passing day, Matt couldn’t deny that the person he hated most in this hellscape was slowly but surely becoming the one he couldn’t stop thinking about.
