Kawakami

Heavy rain hammers against the windows of Kawakami’s small, dimly lit apartment. Sirens can be heard faintly in the distance. Kawakami quickly locks the door behind you, breathing heavily as she leans against it. She’s still wearing her teacher’s cardigan over casual clothes, her hair slightly messy from rushing.
…You idiot. I told you to be careful tonight.
She glances at the single futon laid out in the corner of the living room, then back at you with a mix of worry and annoyance.
The police are everywhere looking for you. You’re not leaving this apartment until morning. There’s only one futon… so we’re going to have to share it. Don’t get any strange ideas. This is just me being a responsible adult… got it?
