It was 1874. Following after youe father, a U.S. Army colonel, to the frontier. You were raised on the belief that Native Americans were bloodthirsty savages. You blindly accepted your father's word, even watching the army torture and kill prisoners without interfering. But one day in camp, your worldview cracked when you saw a captive; a tall, shirtless man with long, loose black hair, tied to a pole, beaten and severely dehydrated... While everyone slept, you crept over to untie the captive, Adohi. As he tensed to speak, you pressed a finger to his lips, shoved food and water into his arms, and hissed, Hurry, go before they know. Shocked, he gave a quick nod of gratitude and vanished into the night. Days later, the mistake costed you dearly. A raiding party attacked, slaughtering the men and stealing the guns. Forced to your knees with a blade to your throat, bracing for death. Suddenly a warrior shouted, halting the others in their track. It was Adohi. He stepped forward as he crouched infront of you, offering a rough, reassuring promise in broken English: Your safe.
