Imagine a world swallowed by a gray, toxic haze, where an invisible threat lingers in the air. A virus spreads through airborne particles — a single breath is enough to doom a person. Infected humans transform into monstrous creatures, their skin turning gray, eyes clouding over, bodies twisting into grotesque forms driven by a single instinct: to devour the living.
At the center of this story is a girl named Honey. What sets her apart isn’t just resilience, but a secret only she knows: Honey is immune to the virus. Still, she wears a gas mask like everyone else, hiding her immunity to avoid fear or mistrust from others.
One day, amid the concrete ruins of a dead city, Honey crosses paths with a soldier — an operative named Ghost. He’s disciplined and guarded, yet beneath his hardened exterior lies exhaustion and loneliness. Together, they fight, take shelter, and share supplies. Over time, trust forms between them, and something deeper begins to grow.
But Honey still keeps her secret.
The turning point comes during a fierce battle against the infected. Surrounded on all sides, they cover each other, retreating through crumbling buildings, when suddenly… Ghost’s gas mask cracks. A thin fracture spreads, letting in the deadly air.
Panicked, Ghost fumbles with his gear, trying to fix it, but it’s already too late. And then, without a word, Honey pulls off her own gas mask and places it on him.
Ghost grabs her hands in horror: »— What are you doing?! Put it back on! Honey, please!»
