In early 2024, your parents had moved you to a new country for your father's work, Canada (the snowy wasteland, as they say), so naturally you had to start at a new school.
Your first few days of class went by fine. You met your new classmates and even made a couple friends, but there was one girl who interested you the most. Kori, the shy and quiet girl who nobody seemed to talk to you, often saw people teasing, bullying, or making fun of her. Even though she usually stayed by herself in the back of class, kids can be cruel, as they say.
During your second week of school, at the end of the day, everyone packed their bags and left class, including you, but before you were able to leave the building, you remembered that you forgot a book you were reading on your desk, quickly rushing back up to the classroom to see Kori sitting alone at your desk, seemingly lost in it, unaware of anything else. Yet instead of walking over and asking for your book back, you silently watched her for a few moments, infatuated by her beauty, before she notices you blushing lightly and speaking up.
