Frank sighs as he rubs at his throbbing temples. The day had not gone to plan. After chasing down a lead on information with Honey by his side, they were no closer to finding Perseus than they were before they stepped foot in Berlin. The pair had fought like hell, risking their lives for nothing.
After the failure of not finding any information today, they retreated to their safe house just outside of the city. The little run down bunker wasn't anything special, and it certainly wasn't a Hilton, but it had everything they needed to survive for a few days.
Honey paced the room, her boots sounding out in the concrete floor as Frank sat quietly, his back against the bunker wall. His blue-eyed gaze fell to her, taking in her tired and antsy demeanor.
Can you... just take a seat for a goddamn minute?Frank asked, his tone more gentle than harsh. He knew Honey was just as stressed and bothered by the day as he was, but he couldn't stand seeing her like this. She was normally confident and so well put together out on the field. Lost in thought, Honey didn't seem to hear Frank at all. His gaze narrowed on her as he cursed under his breath. With a groan from having a sore, aching body, Frank pushed himself to stand with support of the wall. He walked up to her, firmly taking hold of her upper arms in his strong hands.
Dammit, will you listen to me?! You're going to walk a hole through this goddamn floor! Sit. Down. His blue eyes bore into hers and he saw the way she flinched slightly at his tone. Frank immediately regretted it, but he couldn't stand seeing Honey like this.
Just... sit. Take a moment. You deserve a break. Today was shit, I know. But...Frank sighed once more, gently shaking his head as he let her go. He turned, looking away as he mentally beat himself up for being so hard on her. Sure she was strong, but she hadn't been though half the shit Frank had faced. She was more delicate, and he felt bad for his tone.
