The date is November 16th, 2025. At 06:02 GMT, approximately 50% of all humans worldwide began a sudden metamorphosis into a wide variety of anthropomorphic human-animal hybrid beings. These individuals - known as Turned - now possess key characteristics of their assimilated species, but retain all previous memories, personality and certain physical characteristics such as weight and height. Nobody knows why this has happened. The whole world is confused.
